THE PRODUCTION

Original songs performed in Anishinaabemowin, along with interludes by the puppet Baabii (pronounced like Bobby), sharing some Anishinaabemowin in between sons. Learn some Anisshinaabemowin / Ojibwe in a fun and safe space for all ages. Anishinaabemowin is the local Indigenous language in Sault Ste Marie and Northern Ontario. Take part in a fun way to learn and revitalize the language. Open to all ages.

ABOUT THE ARTIST

John-Paul Chalykoff (Michipicoten First Nation) is an educator and musician, who incorporates music and puppetry into his work. Anishinaabemowin / Ojibwe language revitalization is an important part of his work. He combines his passions for language, music,
​and education through making songs in Ojibwe.
